Remembering the Band

We tend to forget people who impacted our and prior generations.  Many young people will forget, or may not even have heard of, the Band. This is understandable. With the passing of the last living band member, Garth Hudson, I just want to add a little snippet here to recognize their contribution to today’s music.  Even if you were not a Band follower, their music combined elements of Americana, folk, rock, jazz and country, and influenced much of the music that we listen to today.  Thanks to the Band for their music, and the influence of their music on other great musicians.
